Madrid half marathon April 7th 2024 (weekend after Easter). It’s €35 euros -
Flight from Edinburgh going Fri to Tuesday (4 nights) was £138 without baggage (easy jet) . Shorter periods also available at a good price: Flights are available from Newcastle although indirect. The average temperature during the day in April is around 11°C with pleasant highs of 17°C.
